class=\"u-align-justify-xs u-text u-text-2\"> Wolf\nThe Wolf's Lair in Gier\u0142o\u017c is one of the most famous World War II sites. It is\nright here, in the heart of the Masurian forests, was the headquarters of\nAdolf Hitler's headquarters - a perfectly camouflaged and guarded \u201eforest city\u201d in which\ndecisions affecting the fate of Europe were made.&nbsp;<br>\n                  <br>Construction of\nbegan in 1940 under the pretext of establishing chemical plants. On\nan area of 250 hectares, some 200 structures were erected - from massive shelters\nmade of reinforced concrete, to barracks, guardhouses, technical and communications facilities. The quarters\nwas a self-sufficient center, equipped with, among other things, an airport, a train station\nrailroad, sewerage, communications, and even a cinema and teahouse.&nbsp;<br>\n                  <br>It was here\nOn July 20, 1944, there was a failed attempt on Hitler's life,\ncarried out by Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. A few months\nlater, in view of the approaching Red Army, the quarters were abandoned and some of the\nfacilities were blown up.&nbsp;<br>Today\nWolf's Lair is a unique memorial site that allows you to get to know firsthand the\nhistory of World War II.
